I don’t know who paid the professional reviewers to put out such glowing reviews, but this port barely deserves a positive review considering the absolutely appalling state of the game. Broken movement skills and teleports, passive skills that damage player characters instead of enemies, town Blatant cash grab falsely advertised and released with an embarrassing amount of problems. Then considering the example set by diablo 3 and even Titan quest which included updated features like couch co-op and loot 2.0, neither of which Torchlight 2 console has (in fact they stripped a ton of features like skill and buff counters, pet controls and even gear swapping for the charge mechanic - another key gameplay element), Torchlight deserves even a lower score in my opinion … Expandīlatant cash grab falsely advertised and released with an embarrassing amount of problems.

They need to update it before I change my rating. Even a simple map swap using dpad toggles or holding L2 would fix this. No research done on effective controller implementation whatsoever. the fact that 3 dpad buttons and neither of the click sticks (元/R3) do anything useful shows that not only is the system totally dysfunctional but they didn’t even look at previous iterations of controls that were extremely successful.
